We have been super busy these past couple of months and are ready for some down time. The kids are exdcited about Christmas and Ella is trying to be on her best behavior this week. Is it too early for a football helmet?

I can not take this child getting hurt again. Hudson is constantly running and jumping off thing, crawling on top of the kitchen table chairs, and trying to get on top of the table. He loves to run and jump off our couch; and when he gets hurt he cries for 2 secs, doesn't want me to hold him, then gets up and does it again while laughing. I don't think my heart can take it anymore (literally and physically)! Last night, I was tidying up the house and the kids were playing as usual. I walked in to my bedroom to put something away and I hear this horrific scream from the kitchen. I run in there and Hudson is flat on his face screaming by the kitchen table. I pick him up and there is a GOOSE EGG the size of a golf ball on his head (the pictures do no reflect the profile). I freaked!!! I immediately called Brandon and said I am taking Hudson to the ER. He fell and the knot is huge! (Little insight... this kid has a goose egg on his head once a week from all the dare devil moves he loves to do. So I am pretty use to seeing a few small ones.) This one had me worried. So as I am talking to Brandon, I notice my AMAZING neighbors are home and I thought I would run him over there to see what Marty says. By the time we get to her door, he is laughing with no more tears as if nothing had happened. The knot had grown at this point so Marty was able to see it in full force. She suggested an ice pack and told me about both of her kids getting one that size when they were little. She made me feel much better. We let him stay up a later than bed time to keep an eye on him. You would have never thought he hit his head that hard by the way he was acting. Throughout the night I checked on him 4 times and he did just fine. I'm still not sure what he did to fall but because of the way I found him, I think he crawled up in the kitchen table chair and was trying to reach his cup in another chair and fell. I think he might have hit his head on the other chair first then the wood floor. AHHHHH just thinking about it again gives me chills. Is it too early for a football helmet????

Hudson's 18 mo stats

Hudson is 18 months now and growing like a weed!!!!! We had our visit with Dr. Hampton and he is right on track! I am so proud of my little boy and can't believe he is already 18 months. I keep asking him to slow down on becoming a big boy. He's obviously not listening.

17 month old's diet

Hudson's diet contains of cereal (fruit loops and cheerios) or crackers (gold fish, cheese its, wheat thins). He loves to snack. He eats just fine when it comes to the main meals but he always wants to snack on something through out the day! We finally caught him in action trying to make his own breakfast.

Dancing might not be her thing

Ella has been taking dance for a while now at Dance Workshop in Arlington. She loves going and loves wearing the shoes and tutu's. They informed us (last minute) that the last classes for the summer session will be a performance and the parent could come. We were sooooo excited to watch her do her THANG since she love to get our attention and put on shows at home. We even had some family support show up to watch this cute little girl dance it up. I got caught in traffic and was 2 minutes late. If I would have known NOT to walk in the front door because the back door was quieter, then my Tiny Dancer might have stayed calm. As soon as she saw me, the tears started and she did not want to perform a thing. The teacher even tried to hold her while dancing but Ella was not having it. After 45 minutes of Ella sitting with us watch her friends dance, to everyone surprise, she jumped up when the tumbling mats were brought out. She was the best little tumbler in there. Guess we have a gymnast on our hands!

A much needed trip to Mexico!

Helllllllllo Everyone- So sorry it has taken so long for us to post updated pictures and blogs. We have been pretty busy this summer with trips, Ella's dance class, and summer fun!

So here is the first update:

Brandon and I went to Playa Mujeres during the 4th of July. We stayed at an amazing resort called the Exellence! It was wonderful!!!! We had a swim up suite with a hot tub and living room. I loved the "all inclusive" piece since neither of us had experienced that. The staff crew were so sweet and fun. It was almost like being on a cruise ship because they always provided entertainment. We enjoyed every bit of our getaway vacation together. Some friends we met there called it a BabyMoon!!! Perfect Trip!! Here are a few shots from the trip!

My Little Ballerina

Look who started her first day in ballet and tap class. She was so exicted and all weekend kept asking me if it was Tuesday yet. She picked out her own oufit to wear on the first day and waited so patiently why the other class was finishing up. I could tell it was just killing her not to jump around and yell! She looked so pretty and did an amazing job. After class I asked her if she wanted to continue going and she said "YES! Forever!!!!" I love it!

In the morning the kids like to hang out in our room and bathroom while we get ready. It has become a routine to all be in mommy and daddy's bathroom. Hudson loves to step up and down on the scale, up and down Ella's stool, and tries really hard to crawl into our tub. BUT his favorite thing is to pull down Brandon's dry cleaning basket, pull all the clothes out (Brandon has a lot) and get inside. He thinks its so funny. We the other morning he found a new place to hide. We have one of those cabinets that you have pull down the top drawer and put your dirty clothes in. We only use it for towels. This morning it was empty and I guess we were not pay enough attention to Hudson because he found out how to get inside and shut the door. We had to catch this little monkey on camera. He is so different from Ella because he is in to EVERYTHING, on top of EVERYTHING, and under EVERYTHING. Let me say this again, boys are so different than girls.

Friday Play Date

Brandon and I took last Friday off to spend the day together and have some! We started off by going to the gun range. I know it might sound funny but we have a good time there. Little did I know, Brandon brought the camera and start taking pictures. I wish I would have snapped some of him. This time around Brandon shot better than I, but LET it be known, I typically shoot better than him. For some reason I was shoot low with the 40 and shoot high with the 38 special. Either way my perpetrator (target) was dead! After 5 boxes of ammo, we headed over to Joe T's for some fun in the sun and some nice cool drinks! A couple of our friends met us out so the fun really started. After Joe T's, we headed over to Fred's to add some good music to the mix. We had a great day and hope to have more soon!
Brandon, I had such a fun time hanging out with you! I love our time together with and without the kids! You are an amazing hubby, friend, and dad. XOXO

VACA here we come

It is official... Brandon and I have booked our Mexico vacation for July. We are soooooo excited and can not wait to be sitting on the beach doing nothing!!

PS: this is a no kiddo vacation. Is it bad that I am perfectly ok with that? :)

Hair Cutting Weekend

On Saturday, I took Hudson and EJ to get his hair cut. I asked Ella if she wanted to get hers cut but she said No because she likes to keep it long. (silly girl). So we just had Hudson's done. He got to sit in a little car and watch movie. He was more interested in the steering wheel of the car than the movie. He did such a great job and even let the lady use the shaver thing. He giggled everytime she put it up to his head. Now is look even more handsome! So once Hudson was done, of course Ella wanted her hair cut. By that time there was a long wait and I was not about to wait with two munchkins who were in need of some nap time. Ella got really upset and sadly we did not get hers done that day. BUT.... Mommy to the rescue of course.... After church on Sunday, we dropped off the boys and I took Ella back up there to get hers cut. She loved it. I took her to the sno cone place afterwards since acted like a big grown up girl!

We are enjoying this weather so much. Since it is no nice and bright outside when we get home, we pull out the chairs, grab a beer/wine and let the kiddos play in the front till the sun goes down. Oh boy.... they LOVE it! Hudson think the world revolves around Ella and anything she does is soooooooo funny! We took a few pictures of one of our evenings outside.

On Sunday, my Dad and Brenda came over to grill out some steaks! It was such a nice day and the kids had to be outside the entire time. Brandon put up some new speakers during the week so we had to test them out. We put on some of Ella favorite Taylor Swift (who is her BFF by the way). Brandon caught a few of the cutest pics of the kids dancing. I use to stand on my dad's feet too when we danced!!! Enjoy!! :)

So the hand is doing much better... but we now have to deal with the nose. Notice in the picture the redness! So the back to the hand. She went back to the doctor on Tuesday for her first treatment and didn't even cry. I asked Brandon to take her this time because the last appt (day of pain) I almost lost it. Brandon called me on the way there, and oh yes, I wore him out with the did you do this and that and take this and be sure to tell that. THANK YOU BRANDON! He was great and she was in such a good mood when she left. DR H said during the pain management days we did a great job keeping it clean and there was no sign of infection. WOOHOO! Now the plan is to still change the dressing everyday, re apply the noxzema looking stuff, but now we have to cut away the skin and CANNOT let it scab. Any other cut a scab is ok, but when it comes to burn scabs thats a no no! Thats what can cause major scarring and can actual change the form of her hand. We definitely do NOT want that. Ella has been such a super trooper during this and I am so proud of her. She is such a big girl!

Now on to the nose. I guess she is going to take after her Mom and start early on the nose breaking issues. We don't think it is broken (I would know) but it is bruised pretty good. We have been so worried about her not falling on her hand she fell flat on her NOSE. We were at church tonight and she was running in the kids playroom and fell. She got a bloody nose and all. On our way home I notice it was getting purple and now is red. I put some pressure on it and she says it doesn't hurt. Either that kid has the pain tolerance of a giant or it really doesnt hurt. We will address again in the AM!!! Dear Ella- please do not hurt yourself in the next 12 hours! xoxo Mommy.

Of course I have to mention Hudson. He is such a power house. That kid LOVE to rough house! Brandon can rough house with him for hours and he just wants more and gets a kick out of it! We sure love these babies!

Today was not a GOOD FRIDAY for the Baker house! This morning while we are all getting ready in our normal routine, Ella had an accident! Most mornings Sherry (my mother in law) cooks us scrambled eggs since Ella loves them so much. It has become a morning thing for all of us to sit at the table and eat. This morning we were running a little late and instead of having scrambled eggs I was in the mood for hard boiled! I guess it was because Ella and I had just decorated easter eggs a couple nights ago. Well I was boiling the eggs... wait let me prep this... When Sherry makes scrambled eggs in the morning, Ella ALWAYS helps. Sherry is sooooo good about keep Ella at a distance but letting her help. Ella always repeats "never touch the stove. Its very very hot." So YES she is very aware of the stove and what it can do. (I am sure you are starting to see where this is going.) So my eggs were done and I pulled the pan off the stove to the sink and turned off the stove. Ella came in behind me and saw the steam from the hot water I was pouring out. She said, "Mommy whats burning." Since her stool was right behind me she got on it and guess where she laid her hand...Yep, right on the extremely hot stove top where I had just moved the pan. OH MY WORD. She screamed so loud and of course I freaked! Right when I heard her scream I knew what had happened. I rushed her to the sink and left her hand under there for 15 minute then after I stopped freaking out made a call the DR. To my very pissed off surprise, the DR office does not take calls till 9am which was 9 minutes aways. I MEAN COME ON!!!! So we filled up a big slurpee cup and kept her hand in it. Keeping her hand in the cold walk calmed her down and kept the burn from hurting, but boy, if I took it out the screaming began again. After our 9 LOOOOONNNNNGGG minutes, I got a hold of the DR office and they said they could see her at 11am. REALLY 11am, I thought this was an emergency! BUT after talking with the wonderful Dr Hampton (love him), he reassured me that what we were doing was the right thing and it would be better to comfort her at home till we went up there. We propped her up on the couch in the most comfy position with all her bears and pillows. She had a nice big mixing bowl of water by her side with her hand just resting in it. As long as we keep her attention off her hand and the situation, she would acted like her normal super silly self. I took her up to the Dr when it was time and the car ride was miserable. I first tried to take the mixing bowl in the car with us and towels all around her in case it sloshed around. We made it around the street and back. So then I got the big slurpee cup and put her hand in that. Note: changing from one water container to another was a screaming fit. The cup worked so we sped off the to DR. As we were exiting, the ramp was backed up, so I did what any mother would do to hurry that process up.... I put on my emergency lights and drove down the side lane. Nothing was going to stop this Mommy from getting her hurt little girl to the DR. I put her in the umbrella stroller and wheeled her in, cup and all. I wonder what the other parents were thinking when we pulled into the waiting room. A little girl, all teary eyed, hand submerged in ice water, with towels all around her. They brought us right back and then the REAL fun started. Just to get Ella to pull her hand out of the cup was a fight and then when the DR put a glob of Noxzema looking stuff on there, she lost it. I was holding back tears so hard and I just wanted to take all the pain away from her. I hated being helpless. The Noxzema looking stuff started to help a little bit but it definitely did not do the trick. Dr. Hampton said for the next couple of days the main focus was pain management then treatment. Hearing that as a Mom is not fun. He gave her liquid hydrocodine type medicene for the pain and a big container of that Noxzema stuff (its not really noxema but it looks just like it). He called it in as a rush so we could go straight to the pharmacy and pick it up. The best part of the doctor visit was as were leaving and she was still hysterical she remembered to ask Dr. Hampton for a toy snake. We always get one when we check out and she remembered!!! By the time we got to CVS, Ella was in a better mood and the tears had stopped. Her hand is all bandaged up (see below) so everyone asked what happened. Let me tell you, people do not give good looks when they hear a little kid burned themself.

Well today has definitley been one of my worst, but we got through it and my little girl is back to acting just like herself. Its amazing what kids can handle and its really amazing what MOM's can't! :) Ella James, I love you sooo much and hope your little hand gets better fast!

I really do like doing it. I really just need to make time and get more posts up. So whats been going on in our world? OH MY!!!!!! Hudson turned 1 year old on Feb 24 and has been walking since 10 months. He is on the go and has people to see. Now he is running and I can not keep up. He loves for us to pretend like we are chasing him, and he will run away while cracking up laughing. It's pretty stinking cute. He has his 1 year check up at the doctor and he is on path! His weight is in the 50% range and height is 96% range and head oh yes that head is 96% as well. Just like his sister!! Long and Lean with BIG HEADS. Hopefully that means they will be smart little buggers! He is behind on the solid food eating. Ella was so good and easy with the transfer but Hudson has been a different story. He is super picky (just like his momma). He doesn't like certain textures and if its not was he want, he will make himself gag and actually throw up (sorry if that was TIM). So we asked the doc and he said we just need to continue to give him the food and he was adjust. Any one have any suggestions. We are trying the docs advice and its slower getting a little better but I hope to find someone with a similar story.
Hudson had a great 1st Birthday Blowout at our house. All his friends came and helped us open gifts. We are sooooooo happy to have so many friends with little kiddos as well. Hudson got so many boy toys! Trucks, cars, golf clubs, push cars for walks. Wally Pop and Tootsie gave him a push car and even put "STUDSON" on the back in big black stick-on letters. Hudson is officially customized. I LOVE IT! Thank you to everyone for coming and celebrating our monkey's big day.
Ella will be turning 3 on the 31st of this month. A 3 year old huh???? Don't even ask!! She is completely her own person and it is hilarious. She is into princesses, tea sets, changing clothes more than 2 times a day, dress up, and books (yes books)! We have turned into those parents that buy something new for our kids every time we are at the store. Its not because they are bad it because we love buying little things. WE HAVE TO STOP!!!! Our house is flooded with toys and every stinking princess movie made. This week it is Princess and The Frog.... sad thing... I love watching it just as much as she does! :) We we haven't quite nailed down a birthday party plan for EJ- shhhh - but we do know it will either be outside, at a jump house place or somewhere the kids can get ALL their ENERGY out! These little monkeys have tons of energy! I will upload some birthday photos from Hudson's party! Hope everyone is well and I love reading all the blogs!

Oh what a cluster of fun it was to take our Xmas family photo. Gathering up two kiddo and making them sit while their two super anal parents try to make everything perfect resulted in a long photo shoot! :) Thank you to my super sweet and smart Hubby for taking the time to set it all up. He did such a great job. Ella LOVED her Christmas dress and did not want to take it off for her nap. Hudson had no idea what was going on but he is such a laid back baby that it did not bother him a bit! I have inculded a sneak peak of one of our shots! I personally love this one!!!!

....who could that be? Ella James of course! Gpa and Sweets bought Ella a Power Wheel BLUE 4 Wheeler. Wednesday they brought it by because Gpa could not wait till Christmas to give it to her. At first she didn't want to have anything to do with it but after a couple of hours she finally took it for a spin! She looked to stinking cute on it. She drove it all over the driveway and through the grass (YIKES). Ella calls it her Blue Car. It has a reverse and a turbo switch... how do I know... oh yes, I gave it a little spin myself!!! Thank you Gpa and Sweets~

Halloween 09- Our Favorite Holiday

Ella and Hudson had a great Halloween! Ella was a pretty princess (of course) and Hudson was a Tiger. We took them trick or treating in our neighborhood and hit up a ton of houses (15 maybe, HA!) Doesn't take long before the Ella gets tired of walking. She sure scooped up a ton of candy, which made her pretty excited. There was one house that scared the crap out of her. Now every time we drive by she says "thats the bad house." That child does not forget a thing. Hudson enjoyed being pushed in the stroller and laughing at all the kids walking by dressed up. After it got dark we headed over to Nicole and Lances Halloween party. Very nice evening!!!!

Hudson has been crawling for the past two weeks now!!!!! He is EVERYWHERE! I'm not sure if I am ready for two kids on the move. In the mornings he used to jump in his jumper and watch cartoons with Ella. Now he want to be on the floor crawling in the bathroom while we get ready. He is soooooo nosy but so cute! He is also pulling up on all objects taller than him. When Ella was learning to walk she would crawl over to Brandon or I and pull up on our pants, then stand with one hand on us and the other out like look at me! Hudson does the EXACT SAME THING! I love it!

Ella graduated from the 2 year old class (because she is so stinking smart) and is in the Pre-School class. She loves it. The kids are right up her alley and a BIG plus is all new toys! When we took her to the pediatrician to her Swine Flu shot, they said she is on the level of a 4 year old. (oh yes, I am bragging). She is such a smarty and she will sure tell you too!

Hudsons (Late) 6 Months Check up

I took Hudson to his 6 month check up a little late this time. Oops! But he is doing great and we do have to go back till he is 12 months because he is so far developed! That was very nice to hear. Below are his stats:

We also found a new Pediatrician here in Arlington, Dr. Hampton located at USMD medical offices. Our first visit with his group was great and we are excited about the new relationship.

Trip to Pumpkin Patch

Haley and I took the kiddos to a local pumpkin patch today. It was a really good one and I would recommend it to anyone wanting to get some cute pics of the kids. Hudson and Cooper looked around a bit then were done with the pumpkins in about 10 minutes. Thank goodness for a double stroller!! Ella on the other hand LOVED the pumpkin patch. She saw a friend from school which made it even better! Take a look at our fun time at the Mansfield Pumpkin Patch!

Football FunDay

This weekend was definitely a relaxing weekend per the request of Mr. Baker. He was able to go out with his friends on Friday night while I had a girlfriend over to relax. We vegged while letting the monsters run around and entertain themselves! Good parenting huh? On Saturday, we were prepared to haul the kiddos over to the TCU game but it started to rain and didnt stop so that plan fizzled. Brandon rented a movie instead and we laid low. Sunday was our family fun day and, yes, we all wore our cowboy jersey! We started off by meeting some friends up at Boomer Jacks to watch a few games before the awful Cowboy game. Once the place got crowded we took our party over to the Howards home! Thanks Howards. We picked up some snacks and made ourselves right at home! The kids had fun playing together and we watched the game. Ella had a taste of her first pixie stick. Ms Nicole did not buy her the small little ones, she had to go all out and purchase the giant long one. Ella was bouncing off the walls! Notice her silly girl smiles in some of the pictures below. Brandon said Ella was Nicoles responsibility for the remainder of the game! We had a great weekend and look forward to more now that football season is in full swing. Brandon is a big 29 today, but Ella couldn't wait to give him his presents so she opened her mouth last night. I took her with me yesterday to pick out her card to give to Daddy. I guess she was super excited because the minute he walked in the door, she was yelling "Daddy I got you a card." Brandon just busted out laughing because he thought it was so cute she just couldnt wait to tell him. Daddy opened his present early last night and he was happy to read the kids cards!

As for the plan for the OLD MAN... Nothing. He actually wants to relax this weekend because we have been going and going the past three. I think he wants to veg around the house all weekend! Your wish is granted honey! He partied it up plently this past weekend at Cory and Madisons beautiful wedding in Ada, OK. Remember the beer there is not up to par with TX beverages. The thinking on that one was obviously drink more... well maybe we drank too much! Poor B had a pretty good headache the next AM. We had a blast though and would definitely go back!

Hudson has a new trick! He makes all sorts of noises with his tounge out. We think it is so funny when he starts up which encourages him to do it more. I know he loves to make us laugh! He is such a good sleeper. He has been sleeping through the night since he was 5 weeks old and still does not wake up till 7 or 7:30. I love schedule baby's! IT REALLY WORKS!

Life has been hectic the past couple of months with both of us working full time and raising two amazing babies!! We really enjoy our new home and I am stoked about decorating for Halloween/Fall! Halloween is my 2nd favorite holiday and I can't wait to dress up the kiddos! Ella still has not decided what she wants to be, and well, Hudson doesn't have a choice! We have enjoyed hosting fun BBQ's at the house and, oh yes, can't forget Game Night!!!!! I know it sounds really old but we really have alot of fun! Now that football season is in full swing I am sure we will be having many more.

Hudson is now 7 months and I forgot how much I loved this age. He is teething like crazy and proudly shows off 2 bottom teeth. Next he will be ready to chew on some yummy steak. He is sitting up and almost crawling. He gets up on all fours and moves back and forth while laughing uncontrolably. I love watching him. When he wants one of us to pay attention to him he yells... DADADADADADADA... i thinking DAD is going to be his first word. He loves taking Ella's bottle from her when she is not paying attention. So sweet!

Ella is a SHOCKING 2 1/2 and proud of it. She is so stinkin sassy! She loves giving sugars and loves telling us she loves us. I never want that to change. When I tell her she look cute, she corrects me and says no mommy I look stinkin cute! I can tell she is starting to become girly. She wants to change her clothes all day and if she doesnt pick out her school outfit then we have a 10 minute meltdown! Ella is amazingly smart and absorbs every word we say. Oh yes we are having to watch our potty mouths!

Hello Everyone... sorry it has been a while since I focused some quality time on our family blog. Life has been going so fast but all the changes have been so great. As some of you know, we bought a new house! WE LOVE IT. Ella has kid neighbors and a backyard to play in. Bebe bought her a blow up swimming pool and she puts her play slide in it and goes down. She thinks its the coolest thing since CANDY. Oh and yes my daughter has definitely taken after me in the candy dept. She wants candy for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. What can it hurt right... I turned out ok. HA!

Mr. Hudson Baker is 5 months now and is developing so quick. He has been rolling over for a while and has mastered the art of crawling backwards. Its only a matter of days before he is going forward and in to everything. Hudson has the sweetest demeanor and personality. He smiles all the time and plenty to say. Right now its a bunch of yelling and cooing noises but I know when he starts with the words they will not stop! He is weighing 15lb and 27 inches long. Thats one growing boy! I am really enjoying the difference in a boy.

We have been going to the lake on most weekends to stay out of this heat. Both the kiddos love playing in the water and there are lots of extra hands to help! Maybe some day we will put in a pool... Did I say someday?:) Also we have been enjoying our morning walks. We upgraded our stroller to a double side by side, and I have to say, it was the best upgrade. I love being able to take them both on walks and I can tell they like sitting next to eachother. Ella helps keep an eye on Hudson and Hudson just love watching his big Sister do anything. We have awesome neighboors who have 2 kids. The oldest Marissa is 11 and the youngest Grant is 5. Ella definitely has her eye out for Grant. They come over in the evenings and invite Ella to come swim! We really do love our new home and neighboorhood.

We will update more frequently... I promise.

4th of July Weekend

So YES it has been a while since our last post. Life has been super crazy with buying our 2nd home and oh 2 KIDS. I still cant believe we have 2 kiddos. Ella is getting bigger and smarter everyday. Hudson is already 4 months old and I have asked him, kindly, to stop growing so fast. He is our last baby!

We close on our new home on the 25th and I am so excited to get in it. I know it will be a transition but a REALLY good one. We will actually have a backyard that Ella can play in. Since she is full of energy I can make her go run laps in the back and not worry she is going to fall off a 12 foot high deck. I will not be missing that deck.

The last couple weekends we have taken the kids to the lake. It is so nice out there because for one everyone loves seeing the babies and two Ella gets to be a fish. I think she was suppose to be born a fish or a mermaid. She love swimming! Her Gpa and TT are teaching her how to jump of the diving board and to go under. The first time she surprisingly did not cry but when asked if she wanted to go again, her reply was, "no Im too tired." Sweet little girl. Also Gpa has a golf cart at their house and she loves to go drive it all around his neighborhood. Since she likes to get up at 7 am every morning we take a ride to the local donut shop to get breakfast for everyone. She waves at every car on the way there and back!

Father's Day is tomorrow and its Brandon 2nd one to celebrate! Ella couldn't wait to give him his present so he opened it last night. To his surprise it was the shower head he wanted for the new house! We will spend tomorrow doing whatever Daddy wants to do!

Last week Hudson started tugging at his ear so Nanny took him to the Doc. Yes, the poor sweet boy had an ear infection. The gave us medicine and we were on our way. He has done really we with the drops and it has seem to clear up! When they weighed his he was 12 lbs 10oz. He is getting so big. He has the bald spot on the back of his head from rubbing it at night while laying down. It looks so silly. Hope it starts to grow back soon. Brandon has decided that Hudson has restless leg syndrome because he is constantly kicking his legs. We pulled out the "exersaucer" (this stand up toy that goes in a circle so he can pay with all the add ons). He LOVES it. I didn't think he was big enough, oh I was wrong.

Memorial Weekend and NEW HOUSE!

Our weekend was very eventful!! We found a house we love and put an offer on it before the weekend began. They countered, then we countered back and they accepted!!!!!! So now it looks like we have to start packing (THE PART I HATE). We will hopefully be in the new home by the end of June, right before 4th of July weekend. Friday and Saturday was filled with the new home back and forth conversation but Sunday and Monday we got to play. After church on Sunday, Brandon and I dropped the kiddos off at my Mother-in-laws house to have some hubby/wifey time. We grab a bite to eat and ran some errands. Its amazing how quickly we can get things done with we aren't hualing around two munchkins! Monday morning we packed up the car and headed to the G-bury for some fun in the sun. Ella swam all day in her new spiffy life jacket and Hudson just did his normal... slept! Poor little Ella got sun burned on her nose and cheeks. Its super cute but hope it doesnt bother her too much. We head home around 6 and the minute we stepped in the door Ella and I were passed out on her bed. Thanks Daddy for putting Hudson to bed! Can't wait to have more fun weekends at the lake!

Mother's Day and Dedication

Mothers Day was so much fun and exciting for our family. Brandon and I dedicated to our church to raise our children in a christian home! It was a sweet ceremony and we have such amazing pictures to remind us of that great day. Our family joined us at church that Sunday to share in our dedication, and that meant alot to Brandon and I. Thank you Mom, Austin, Ashely, Baby Avery (pre-birth), Wally and Vicki! We really appreciate the support you give our family. After church we headed to Gloria's for some yummy Mexican food then home for the kiddos naps. That evening we had more family come over for dinner and games! I love game night!!! :) Brandon and the babies had sweet cards and a framed picture of Brandon and me. I love getting framed pictures because I never do them myself. (thanks honey!!) Hope all Mommy's had a wonderful loving day!

Potty Training Time!!

Its official we are potty training.... well trying! I have decided to get this done before I go back to work on Monday... yes in 5 days. I tried on Saturday by just letting her wear big girl panties and a sun dress because I have heard that if she tee tee's in those she will not like it. Supposedly they dont like the feeling of wet panties and tee tee running down their legs. Well not my sweet little girl... she would say "Mommy, I tee teed on the floor." I would make her clean up the messes and then showed her where the potty was. Well nap time came around and I let her sleep in panties instead of a diaper... bad idea! She got up to play with a couple of her toys and tee teed on the floor, well on her way back to laying down she slipped in the mess. Poor thing... She was so upset and when I went to pick her up she said " mommy I fell down in the tee tee" it was sooooooo HARD not to laugh. I really thought that would do the trick but no and we kinda gave up on Sunday. So now I have decided to really focus on it with the 3 day potty training technique. Hope it works. I dont want my kid laying in their own tee tee. YUCK! Wish us luck!

Hudson is 2 Months!

Our Sweet Boy is 2 months today. We are heading to the doctor today for his check up and of course he will get another shot, poor baby. Hudson is doing very well and yes he has started sleeping through the night about a week ago! I am loving it! We thank the Baby Wise book for our kids sleeping through the night. I swear by giving your baby a routine right off the bat... it really works. Hudson had a play day with his buddy super duper Cooper yesterday and we took their monthly pics together. Cooper is 1 month and Hudson is 2 months. They are about the same size... so cute!

Easter 2009

Easter was great! I was a little bummed it was rainy but by then then of the day the sun did come out to shine!! Perfect end to a perfect day. We decided to attend the early service at church so we could rush home for Ella's mid day nap. She definitely needs a nap in the afternoon and we always try to make it around noon. So since we had brunch plans with the family, we thought we could get her nap in a little early! The nap was a success and brunch was not hectic with a cranky two year old! Ella's dress was super cute, but I did not plan for her to wear a jacket and closed toe shoes... I know its silly but she was suppose to wear her cute new gold sandals. Oh well can't... control the weather. After lunch, since it was still rainy, the Easter bunny stopped by to hide some eggs for Ella. She had so much fun finding the super obvious hidden eggs (can't be too sneaky)! I think after the week was over she played in 4 Easter egg hunts! She is definitely a PRO so next year she will be able to show Hudson the ropes. As for Hudson during this 09 Easter, he was a perfect angel and slept through the whole show. Next year will great with the both of them! Enjoy the photos.

Time for a new site! We decided now that Hudson has joined our little family, we need to have a website or blog about both of the kiddos. We or I will update as much as possible with pics and stories as the kids grow up! We are excited to share all the fun and crazy times in the Baker house! Hope you enjoy!
